Lactic acid is one of the two leading alpha hydroxy acids (AHA) in the field of skin rejuvenation and aging prevention. It regenerates the skin by dissolving and breaking down the bonds between dead cells, allowing for natural exfoliation. It effectively treats rough skin and smooths it. Lactic acid is a user-friendly exfoliating agent.
A beta hydroxy acid (BHA). The salicylic acid’s keratolytic activity speeds up skin cell regeneration by breaking down keratin. It is especially effective at dissolving and breaking down sebum buildup in sebaceous glands, particularly in cases of oily skin with excessive sebum secretion and thickened skin. This makes it helpful in treating skin conditions such as various forms of acne, seborrhea, rosacea, psoriasis, and other conditions associated with hyperkeratinization.
Glycolic acid is one of the most effective alpha hydroxy acids (AHA) for skin rejuvenation and slowing the aging process. It has the smallest molecular weight among AHAs, making it particularly effective at regenerating the skin and removing excess keratinization by dissolving dead skin cells and their intercellular connections. It stimulates biological processes such as increasing blood flow, which in turn boosts collagen production, oxygenates the skin from within, and supports skin hydration.
